Here we see where Bitter’s name comes from and where the angels come from. So, I was thrilled to see that we get Jam’s mother, Bitter’s, story. It is so much more than your typical young adult novel. ![]() It hits on themes of pain, abuse, redemption, and reconciliation. Pet is gloriously strange and mysterious.
